Game Crashes On Loading Screen

I can get past the cinematic fine, but when I try starting a single player game as Washington it crashes on the loading screen after about 10 seconds.

Any fixes on this? I tried everything in this thread: http://forums.steampowered.com/forum....php?t=1440653

edit: im on windows vista, have a quad core processor, 3gb ram, and a nvidia geforce 9800gt
