A bit unwelcoming for noobies?

Hey, so this game looked fun, i have a bit of an imagination so i pictured it as me and 3 others building a moon base or something and fixing the air leak. When i got on, was nothing like that, a lot of people were paranoid that i was a griefer because i was holding a wrench i found on the ground.

are greifers common place in this game? judging by the forums, i would say yes.

and it feels like "noobs" are unwelcome. whats a good place to learn to play? i did not see a tutorial.

Just say you want to learn how to play and jump in.

The basic tools are the Wrench which is used to connect/disconnect the air hoses and the Welder which is used to repair things.

Hint: Lowering the solar panels will stop the couplers from going critical, enabling you to repair/replace them at your own pace.

The robots (wrench / welder) work in a similar manner and you repair the large machinery near the habitation module with them.

Hint: Some items are more easily replaced than repaired.

It's really easy to grief in this game... and a lot of jerks do it. So most people on public servers are paranoid.

Griefers Galore

Any one holding a wrench is a griefer in my book. Unless I either know you a little or it is very clear you are about to connect up a line. And I will kik with out much warning if I'm hosting.

So first piece of advice, grab a welder until you know which way is up, as long as you weld even badly no one will be looking at you as anything but a decent player.

So yes griefers are supplied in endless amounts in this game. And after you kik them they always return in a few seconds. Bad news for newbs here, as if the griefer returns as the 6th player to join, the kik interface offers host no kik option. So host must kik a none griefer to get at the griefer (thus making 6th player, 5th player) and guess who gets the kik, did you say the newbie? I know you did.

So how to learn the game given this nightmare mess? Simple play games alone offline. Set the option for unlimited play time and take your time learning all the little jobs. Then you will be ready for the big time online world.

PS.
esc>'select players'>kick

key sequence to kik griefers. memorize.
