Game is not running

Hello,
i just bought this game but when i want to start it there appears a message-box which says "PATAMAT.exe caused a EXEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION in module PATAMAT.exe at 001B:00440A09"
Is there any Player with the same Problem???

hello,

1. tried verify file cache just to be sure download was w/o problem?
2. running steam as administrator ?
3. if you left click select Pat&Mat in Games lit then right click and use Configure Advanced Options, please try disable fullscreen and in advanced options try setup only DirectSound 2D ...

Thanks for your post. i tried all your Suggestions but the game is still not running. I own about 25 Steam-Games but that is my fist failure.

hello, my siser has gotten this game shes running xp sp3 game seems to run but its telling her the episodes to the game arnt there, only the puzzles is there something shes missing ?

don't worry it's correct as the game now is Episode 1
it's for future Episodes

well ok, if its episode 1 now, then why can't you access episode 1 in the selection screen ?

i found the problem: The NvidiaPhysX installer was corrupt or to old. However, the solution is to download an run the latest one.

you sure too old ?
(it's the one used for retail release of game w/o issue, check directory \PhysX\ in game dir)

it should install fine on Vista and Windows 7...

may i ask what GPU & GPU drivers you have and what OS you use ?

I'm not sure, if too old but something was wrong with the supplied PhysX-file (or my PC ?). The installation-process was hanging in the middle.
I have vista and NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT.

ah,
i suggest you try recheck integrity of game file cache if the install process hanged
running STEAM as administrator is recommended too
