Help!?

So I purchased the game today, installed it and typed in the activation code, but it tells me it is already in use and I have to "buy" a new one.

Help someone, please!?

Did you buy a retail disk, and was it used or new? If this is the Steam version, click on the Steam icon and choose Libraries. Right click on the game and choose CD Key, write it down or make sure it matches what you already wrote down. Next verify the game files by right clicking on Properties> Local Files tab> Verify.

I did exactly that (downloaded on steam) and it tells me the CD key i typed in is already in use!

Is this for MP or SP? MP with some Steam games seems to have this issue. You will probably have to contact them in either case.

What do you mean by Multi or single player. I have installed the game now, but before I can run it i have to activate it generally. I copy pasted the code steam gave me and it doesnt work. Thats it.
