cd-key?

Where is the cd key supposed to be? When I try and log in to game center it say's "You were disconnected from server : You cannot log in as your account is not active. Please activate your account with the activation key present in the email you received when you created your account" i got the email and a activation link but no cd key. I used to have this game back in 2007 when it came out idk if anyone plays online anymore it's a fun game.

Also where do i find the game version most of the time in game's its in the lower right hand corner cause i noticed they have an update but idk if it has been already added to steam.
