DO not be tempted by the sale to purchase SH5. It is the most incomplete, buggy, horrendous piece of software, The developers have abandoned it. On the other hand if you want some sub action SH3 (with mods) is EXCELLENT

The bugs are serious enough that even if you can get the game to work....you will wish it hadn't

I need to say that SH 5 is great, and with the latest patches they fixed alot. Nevertheless, SH3 had more to offer like uboats and that kinda stuf.

But SH5 give me shivers when i see those great grafics.

EDIT:

There is a warning, that there is a risk that this game won't work for you. But this risk you have with every game. Moreover, the warnings are given out by peeps that can't fix computer problems.

Disagree. "SH 5" is worth the trip.

I liked SH5 so far, it has it's bugs and sometimes crashes for me, but not worse than SH3 in its early days. I'm not sure if SH5 will ever get such a big mod community, but even in vanilla it's worth the 10 bucks. The interior of the submarines are nicely modeled and it just adds alot to the atmosphere beeing able to walk around the boat.

SH 5 is good, bugs and DRM aside,and arcadey but Silent Hunter 3 is plain crap. Its boringly "sim" and dated by todays standards. All the SH 3 Hammer Legion Members should add a disclaimer saying "Buy SH 3 if you like boring sim games".
