I think it is useful as well, I cannot recall the number of times I have lost a thread on here. Considering how forum searches hardly ever work properly, this is the best solution to give Steam/Valve the means to track what people want the most, as well as actually clean up the forums some.

Updated the text a bit to better fit the "requirements" of the stickied thread.

When you edit posts it actually has a field to put the reason why you edited it so you don't take up characters in the main text field.

It is a good idea what you are doing. I'd encourage the use of the Thread tools, like subscribing to threads and such if you don't already.

EDIT: look at the bottom.

I don't use the "edit" reason box because it doesn't have enough information, is not easily customizable and allows me to track the changes in the order they had occurred. I appreciate the suggestion(s), but again, this isn't just for me but the hundreds and thousands that use the forum as well.

EDIT: If I can make a suggestion, I think the listing should be in alphabetical order, especially as it could grow quite large.

I like that idea, I was going to do some sort of bundle the ideas by category, where everything around UI was together and so forth. I think what you suggested is best for right now. Again, will do it this weekend.

Great stuff.

But I still like new threads to be created in the Suggestions. It brings a refresh of debate over a needed feature. At least I feel this way.

I, like many, feel that it isn't really worth it to jump into a thread that has had 1,000 posts already in it.

But I just have to say, Great job organizing it that way and finding the threads.

I vote you for President of Steam for 1 Day.

I agree that posts and threads can send a topic off into a completely different direction as well as threads being comeplete impennetrable after 30 or so posts. I don't think the intent is to make the forums a 1 topic, 1 issue, 1 thread scenario, but to simply make it easier to find things and make it so that people can quickly find a thread, or add a thread so that steam as well as the users can find them easily.

And thanks for the kind words, I imediatly started working on a campaign platform in my head... heh.

There are hundreds of really good suggestions in many pages of suggestion posts, how are you prioritising what gets added to your thread?

There are dozens of threads that say "add game x" and so forth, I will lump all those as the "Add this game to steam" thread, a lot of topics are features already in steam, some are things that just don't make sense, but hopefully the list will have everything. It takes time to add everything to the list, which is why it isn't complete.

What is currently on the list is either most replies, most views, or just recently posted and I caught it and added it.

As I said, if you have anything that needs to be added, post it below.
