camera control, full game just like the demo?

I'm trying out the demo again, but one thing I've noticed is that there is a large difference in speed between the camera's X and Y axis rotation when controlling the camera with the mouse.

When I tried the RTS mode I then noticed I have to move the mouse for 1 or 2 seconds before the game even starts to move the camera...?

Has anyone else experienced this? Is the full game like this? Are there certain settings I should try instead?
