Help with all these hackers
I have a video of a guy in a black ops server hacking big time. This is not the first time he has been reported but Steam does not seem to want to ban him for good. We pay good money for these games and we expect your VAC to work . If you cannot provide a better environment then I would like a refund on all my games. You are basically denying me my right to play these games in a hack free environment.
You guys made so much money last year , you would think that maybe you would invest in a better anti cheat program. |

ill say what everyone else will say.
1. you pay for the license to use the game, you dont own the game. 2. you arent going to get any refund, so empty demands like that are pointless 3. no one promised a hack free environment 4. find another server it sucks, but just suck it up and deal with it. its just a game afterall. |

I do recall Activision boasting about how both Black Ops and MW2 were supposed to be 100% cheater-free because they use VAC2.
Obviously no game is going to be cheater-free, but I do remember see multiple statements on that. The most noted one is Infinity Ward's post about IWnet, but I do recall seeing a few about Black Ops as well. Anyway despite all of these, the worse I've seen in Black Ops was rapid-fire users... which doesn't bother me at all. |

Get all the legit non-cheating players to surround his spawn point and then lob grenades at him repeatedly until he gets the message.

First read up on how VAC actually works.
Second find a decent server with good admins. |

VAC doesn't accept any kind of reports or proof of cheaters, VAC is fully automated.
I don't know what the report player means in the game, but I think it sends the info to the game developer to.... Well for some reason. EDIT: Here is a thread about report player function on the game but no one knows what it is for, just speculation, http://forums.steampowered.com/forum....php?t=1710716 EDIT2: And here is some info on VAC, have a read; Valve Anti-Cheat: Information Thread Valve Anti-Cheat System (VAC) Cheaters, Abusive Admins, New Cheats, and Cheat Websites Last edited by Slayer00: 02-11-2011 at 05:01 AM. |

Every AC promises a cheat free environment, and in all cases, including VAC, it is a promise they can't keep. In Germany we call this a "Teufelskreis", whatever you do, the other side reacts to it and nothing really changes. There will always be cheaters and new cheats and there will always be new signature to detect new cheats. It's a never ending cycle.

I still wonder what the in game report as "cheater" does. Maybe treyarch just resets their account when X number of complaints are made on 1 player.. or maybe it's just left over console features that are null in pc version..
I doubt any of the in game report player features can lead to VAC ban.. but again.. who knows for sure? maybe i'll send in a support request to trey or activision. |
