Logitech G700
Can someone give me a little review on this mouse if they own it. I currently own a Logitech g5 and i would like to get the g700 if its worth the money.

I have a G700 wireless and I love it. Having the extra side buttons for me is great. It took a while to work them in though. I see no lag from being a wireless mouse. I got mine for free (brother-in-law works for Logitech). It's a bit pricey, but if you really need a change go for it.

Stick with the G5 until logitech updates the scrollwheel tech, on my g500 I have had issues with the scrollwhere no longer clicking when you use it as a button. Not a good feature because some games actually require that.
Buttons and feel is generally the same as the g5, but slightly smaller (which, is not good with gorilla hands). Just really depends on taste, but I always tell people to stick with the g5, it is a lot better mouse then recent stuff. |

Here is a discount for the G700 if you are planning to buy it.
http://www.logicbuy.com/deals/logite...use/24188.aspx Discount expires on May 26, 2011. If you like the mouse, then you should go for it. It takes about a day to get used to a new mouse, so you might find it a bit weird for the first couple of hours. It's a good mouse. If you don't want it to be a wireless, you can just plug the data cable in and use it as a wired mouse. |

I use both the G5 and G700 on a regular basis and I've had no issues with either. The G700 is a bit heavier than the G5 but I like to take the battery out and use the G700 corded. It probably needs a charge about every 3 days of moderate wireless use even though I switch if off after a few hours a day. I had been putting off buying a wireless gaming mouse for my laptop because of lag, but if it does lag, I haven't noticed a thing.
If the weight and charge are not issues, I'd say the G700 is worth the money. I often find myself missing the extra thumb buttons when I switch to my G5 as the G700 feels just like it. |
