Just bought the game and I have no sound in cutscenes, as for during gameplay sound -it is ok. Problem is only with BINK cutscenes.
Any solution to this problem? |

This is what I have found so far.
http://geekmontage.com/texts/homefro...-sound-launch/
I have changed my maxchannels to 64 and it didnt work so far but have not tryed or could not change some of the other fixes. MaxChannels=128 to 64 Im going to keep trying till I do find a fix for it. Hell I cant make things any worse. Ill let you know what happens. Thanks for posting. http://forums.steampowered.com/forum....php?t=1792850 Last edited by Redarms: 07-06-2011 at 10:34 PM. |

Well I Have tryed everything in the following link.
http://forums.steampowered.com/forum....php?t=1792850 and nothing worked so far. I guess I have to wait for a patch to fix it. I get no sound in game or in multiplayer. Not even in cut scenes. Maybe its my win. Im running win. Vista 64. no other game does this. so i dont think its anything on my end.

Have you tried installing a codec pack? I don't have the game, but afaik when you have cut-scenes they are sometimes rendered not by the game-engine, but are actually pre-recorded movies.
Check out K-lite codec pack, http://codecguide.com/download_kl.htm maybe that will help! |
