I can confirm that the PC version is parallel to the console versions , receiving the same love and dedication

sources: V-singular (Volition community manager) He said so on the official saints row 3 forums

Just because they say that doesn't mean it's true :/

However I believe they are working with IdolNinja, so it very well may be true.

How do you tell the screenshots are from 360/ps3?

Uh, you do realize that most Games for Windows games support 360 controllers and change the onscreen prompts accordingly if one is plugged in, right? (Saints Row 2 being a notable exception to that rule since it was such a port.)

I do realize that, however. Last time I checked, Saint's Row the third was NOT a GFWL game, I'm checking right now, though. So be patient.

(THIS SPACE RESERVED FOR FORMAL APOLOGY IF IT IS INDEED A GFWL GAME)

However, if you were going to play a game to test it on the PC (it's being made parallel so I hear) and take a few screenshots as well, why would you play the game with a Controller? I thought part of the point of the port was that it was playable with a keyboard and mouse ON A PC.

Well, "Games for Windows" and "Games for Windows Live" are two different things but you are correct that Saints Row: The Third is Steamworks and not GFW (or GFWL.) My mistake.

Still, a lot of PC demos that are shown are played with people using a controller rather than a keyboard. I can't think of one single instance of seeing keyboard prompts in a demo'd game on a show floor or trailer.

Also, one of the Volition devs has confirmed that at least some of the footage we've seen has been running on PC. I'll try to dig up the link:

Zach Lowry is the Lead Animator on SR3 btw.

I wouldn't pre order the PC version if i were you. Volition is very well known for their marketing bull. You don't need any more proof than Saints Row 2. Wait on some reviews first.

Saints Row 2 was developed for the PC by a different team. Volition is handling the PC version themselves this time.

I feel like this has been said about 15 times already...

I know. That still doesn't change the fact the Volition has shown utter disregard towards their PC user base in the past. Actions speak leader than bull marketing spin.

I think you are being oblivious to all the love we have gotten in this 1-2 year timeline. We have gotten excelent ports from THQ/Volition just look at dark siders, red faction armageddon metro 2033, MX vs ATV Reflex. If you are going to hate, then just don´t buy the game and quit whining.
Seriously, whiners like you need to shutup.

You must have really low standards if you think that those are excellent ports.

Or maybe your standards are too high for a game series like this. None of THQs ports have ruined the game too much for me. And they for to you. You seem like the kind of person that needs absolute FLAWLESS games.
