I am trying to run a dedicated server for CS Source from a 74 PC Lan Network, I have enabled the ports and people outside from the internet can logon to the server but when anyone from the LAN tries to get on they get....
Steam Invalid User ID Ticket What am I doing wrong or is there a quick fix? I am using the current version of CAS and the current DS files. Thanks |

They should be using the 'lan' tab to search for servers. Have them connect to your local address, not your WAN address....

Actually there is no Lan Address, the server has its own External IP.

sounds to me like your launching the server from the steam menu......download the stand alone dedicated server and run it. I found if I launch a dedicated server from my steam menu and then try to connect to my server I get that error as well. hope that helps.

I understand its not a LAN, I apologize for mis-informing you. Ill try the standalone and see if that helps. Thanks.
Ill write back and let you know what happens. |

BTW, I know that the server is not on the Lan, I just meant that it comes from the same T1 and has been routed to an external ip. Im not sure if that makes a difference.
From the LAN you can see the server in the Internet Server List but not on the LAN. Its a strange setup regardless. |
