Steam error failed to check subscription status

Hi all

I got the following Steam Error dialog box appear when i tried to run Bejeweled 3

This is the first time i've had this so not sure what its about.

Specs are:
AMD Phenom II X6 Six Core 1090T-BE 4.00GHz
Corsair XMS3 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz
Powercolor ATI Radeon HD 5670 1024MB GDDR5
Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 5670 1024MB GDDR5 (CrossfireX)
