GTS 250 is a MINIMUM Requirement?

I honestly cannot think of another game that has GTS 250 as the minimum requirement.

Yeah, this looked like a pretty easy buy until I considered the possibility that it might run like crap on my laptop.

Does anyone know if a Intel 2.2ghz cpu, 3gb of ram and a 8600m gt card would even be good enough?

I just played the tutorial level on my laptop (Core2Duo 2.8GHz, 2GB RAM) with a 512MB 9600M GT video card, and the game was barely playable. Some parts would be fairly smooth, but then it would go to slide-show like framerates.

And, I didn't see anything particular about the graphics that would seem to warrant that.

But, whatever. I'm not too disappointed, because I have a pretty big backlog of games, so I can put this on the backburner until the time comes to get a new machine with better graphics. I'm sure I'll play the game eventually, so I can't really be angry about dropping $2.50 on it now, especially since I didn't pay any attention to the system requirements.

Anyway, if it's running like that on my 512MB 9600M GT, then I doubt it will be happily playable on your 8600M GT.

8800GTX runs it perfectly, maxed out. Very nice looking game, 2.50 its a steal I highly recommend it. Fun shooter, more fun w/ mouse and keyboard but the WASD takes a bit of getting used to, but much much easier and more enjoyable to use the mouse IMO to aim then an analog stick but you don't get the rumble.

9800/8800 and 250 are the same cards. Just rebranded.. Short of smaller die there are no difference.

250 is 9800GTX+, so faster than a plain 9800GT/8800GT.

I am replacing my GTX 295 because it does not work anymore, so I am using a 8600 GS for a while I received my new video card, and you know what?. This game as all my games can be played with 8600 GS!!!!.

Yes yes, it is not the same visual quatily but ...it reachs the goal in the meantime I receive my new card.

So if you have no trouble running this title with 8600 GS, then the requirements are too high?

Or maybe later levels require much more GPU power?
