I'm also experiencing a poor frame rate.. Averages between 7-15 FPS. This is maxed settings @ 1440x900 resolution, which also gives me the "forced 4:3" viewing and not widescreen. Flying to a higher altitude smooths it out to about 20 FPS, but that's unbearable! I can play newer, better games maxed out on full detail than this!
Even with everything on low @ 640x480, the frame rate is crap! I'm currently running: - AMD Athlon X2 2.8ghz @ 2.94ghz - 8800 GTS SSC 640mb (112 stream processor version, OC'd to 621/1512/936) - 4gb ram I almost want my $3 back. Last edited by em0te: 08-29-2011 at 07:52 PM. |

I'm getting decent performance with my 5770 so I haven't changed much in the settings but if you are having problems I would think turning shadows off could make a huge difference. I don't think shadows in a game like this are very common and it probably is using really poor code to render them. Since its a flight game you could be flying very high up allowing you to see a lot more on the ground; if it is processing the shadows of every single tree down there it would be pretty ridiculous and I think that's what we're seeing so give it a try and report back.
