I start saying what it comes in my mind because there are a lot...

For start sorry for my english.

I play games for years, mostly rpg and strategy. This is the 1st time i created a forum account because i simply cannot see this game being abused by no related people and people that have no idea from strategy games.
I will accept critisism for this game only from Civilazation players and Age of empires players and this "kind" of players. Warcraft series and Starcraft Series are out the topic, they are simpleminded and weak. Of course they are other games out there but like i sayed i say what comes in my mind as i type...

This is not a team fortress 2 game that every 10 years old kid can press mouse 1 button and kill even the most skilled player in the server he is playing. Not a counter strike or doom game.

This is a new mechanics real time strategy game for hardcore players, but not only hardcore, anyone that can spend a decent amount of time to learn games like that so that he can be rewarded later.
Its brainwashing believe me in that.

I wont say names from other threads - but when u see a Strategy Game its not only about commanding an army like " you guys will go over theaaare and you guys over theaaare and we kill the potatohead enemies". Stategy is in every aspect of every side of every coin in every occasion. If you get what i mean.

You cannot play stategy if u cannot think, u must use your brain.

Srategy exists in diplomacy, in politics , in football, in trade, in church....

The only game that u can see similar mechanics of this game is the Civilization games but that one is turn based, so u miss the joy of intense real time fighting, but u get it here in Game of thrones.

Thats all, i think... i may post more in the future, but i can fight back anyone of you saying otherwise.

Do you know a lot of games that combine diplomacy , rpg elements ,strategy, politics, war - peace and all that in real time play??.... I dont think so

This game makes the new ERA of stategy games

I agree. But why? I should say, that I love strategy games but this has no depth and very limited options all round.

If I had to some it up and save someone some time reading this, I would say that this game is simplistic and extremely boring.

It reminds me of several free to play browser based games which are actually far better.
You dont really have many options, particularly when compared with other games in this genre. Combat is replaced by intrigue in terms of trying to create a unique take and link the game with the series of the same name.

Unfortunately, what you have is simply mass production zerg and repetition.

It also manages to be surprisingly linear with limits means to reach the objective. This is a game that wants you to follow a specific set of steps in a process. Not my idea of fun. I prefer something where I feel I have control, not like I am guessing what the game really wants me to do next regardless of if I want to or not.

This is just a cynical attempt to cash in on a brand name. If I was the people behind game of thrones and wanted to do more with the brand name with just the series then I would be worried about the damage this may do to the brand.

I freely admit, I messed up with this one. Saw it was an RTS. Loved the series and so bought it immediately. Apaprently, I never learn so maybe its actually people like me, daft enough to buy it that the game is actually aimed at. I should know better.

Buy StrongHold if you want to be a true king of a kingdom or play The Guilds 2 if you love multi-tasking with using thugs as assasin to further your "underhanded deeds".
This game rips them both off...

i understand that u have moderate opinions of this game , but i ask you this question: Is out there a game that can offer alliance , make a blood pact with marriage on it (like old times all races around the world did with an offer of a son or daugther to strengthen the bonds of families), to be able to make "fake" alliances and your enemies dont know it until he checks it( with spy unit), or even take control of the enemy envoy (envoy = the man send by "king" to make agreements) with out enemy knows it and make fake alliancies in your favor?
Stronghold series only had a spy , that he can go in you castle ,steal some gold from your treasury and have a visible area around him.
This mighty game has a Spy, an Asassin and a Rogue with dozens of skills and combinations you can do with them.... ohhhh ....and i am still learning the game.
And you mentioned something about The Guild 2, this seems like sims to me.

Part of me is very disappointed with the game. I would've been happy if it had more references to the book, such as named castles... Regions... Characters... And not only a aGoT title slapped onto it. However, it has certain features that I'd like to see in almost all future RTS games.

The game takes place over 1,000 years of the fictional history of Westeros, beginning with the arrival of the Rhoynar led by the warrior-queen Nymeria. Plus George R.R. Martin was directing the places and the battles that took place in this game. So that means that this game can even be an addition to the famous books , if a book from the series doesnt have the game battles(i have not read them all) ,meaning that this is adding more history in the whole World , and this for me makes it even better.

Its like saying Age of empires is not so good because the battles and history inside isnt exactly what happened. Yes its not exactly what happened but it is just a game, leave the campaign alone (campaign is a way to learn the game at a point of an AI can fight you back, there is no AI that can fight back a human mind) and start multiplayer. Multiplayer games can last for ages, single player-campaign games last for a month.... uhm... at best

Of course warcraft players have no skills. The money goes to that game because its made for little children. Because the majority of players are children. Children pay for games , adults pay for drinks and fake boobs ( if u get my point).
Thats why all warcraft series have the redicoulus cartoonish graphics, and are all easy at an emetic point. Thas why the Age of empires made the Age of empires online with cartoonish graphics , to attract more children (like you) = get more money .

Its like Hollywood movies, all people watch hollywood movies but deep inside they know its just redicoulus, but still because they want to see the big booooms and niiiiceeee graphics and the sweeeet chicks and the niiceee fake booobs the redicoulus nonsense productions get all the money.
