BEEP actually runs on this pathetic "rig"

FYI

My system specs are:
AMD Athlon 64 3500+ (2.2 GHz single-core)
1 GB RAM (that's right - ONE GIGABYTE)
GeForce 6800GT 256MB
SB Audigy 2 ZS Audio
CRT monitor 1024x768

And this game actually runs. I tried running it on my main rig (quad core, 4GB, nvidia 8800, blah blah blah) and it didn't work. That machine died of PSU failure a couple of days ago. So I tried this game on another rig to keep myself amused until the new PSU arrives. To my amazement it works fine - loading is kinda slow and there are framerate hiccups sometimes but definitely playable. On the first couple of levels anyway.

Pathetic? That was a beast back in 2004
If it hasn't degraded, it should be able to handle Half-Life 2 pretty well.

I don't even know what this board is, I just had to comment on your lack of respect.

I'd like to know if the game works with an ATI X1600 . It's depressing me that a game which doesn't look particularly technically advanced would be the line which tells me my laptop is beyond obsolete.

Edit: Oops, just found out it does by reading its support page. It's unofficially powerful enough to run the game, yay!

Best way to be sure is to try the demo out. It's not on Steam but you can get it here:
