2560x1600 resolution?
Hi,
I just bought the game and a copy to gift for someone else. The problem is that I don't see an option for 2560x1600 resolution. The max is 2048x1536. Since my monitor doesn't render non-native resolutions very well, is there a fix for this? I tried searching the forum for "2560," but there weren't any results. Thanks. |

As most games allows more resolutions then the settings in the game, also this one has a file where you can change it:
\\Steam\steamapps\common\metaldrift\common\client\ prefs.cs Hope this works. |

Hi,
Thanks for the suggestion. I tried it, but it just reverts back to 2048x1536. Also, if I did somehow manage to change it, would the image look stretched? |

every engine is different, your monitor doesnt have scaling options so you can just set it to 1:1 & have some black bars?

That's very strange that it doesn't work even when set in the prefs file. I'm pretty sure that there are people who run it at the res you are looking for.
Have you tried scrolling down in the resolution dialog? Maybe it's there but you didn't scroll down? You could always run it in a window that's slightly smaller than your monitor rather than fullscreen. |

I changed to full screen and chose some other option ...now it opens to blank screen and I can't see anything. And can find no way to reset game to original instal.

I have the blank screen issue after playing with rsolutions myself. Hope a fix comes out for this, looks like a fun game, and I'd love to be able to play a game that I paid for -_-

Open with Notepad or some text editor, scroll down to the bottom. Set $pref::Video::fullScreen to 0 and $pref::Video::resolution to something your monitor supports. |
