Can't get past the first mission because roads wont' build!

A simple procedure that completely fails. What am I doing wrong?

Left click after selecting roads does nothing at all.

I figured out the poor UI.

Now the problem on level 10 is that I can't get over the mountains because for some reason the bridge and tunnel refuse to work.

There are two kinds tiles on that map. The Jagged Peaks are gray with snow on top. The passable Mountains that you can build tunnels through are green. Press 3 to select tunnels, and then build through the mountain tile on the left or right.

the same problem as topicstarter's. Roads cant be selected from menu. Dot buy it.

Struggled with that as well, selecting with the mouse just doesn't work, it immediately gets deselected again. Only way to do it for me is by mouse wheel.

Interesting. From what I've read on this forum so far, Detour has a short SP mode, inactive multiplayer and to top it all off, the controls may or may not work...

That sucks! I wanted to give it a shot with the sale but now I see there isn't even a demo for me to see if the game will work! Sale fail

It works, once you figure the workaround out. I haven't tried the multiplayer, and I started doing the tutorials and think I did one or two additional missions before I just lost interest.

The game lacks polish, and seems not completely finished. The rough edges in execution could have been overlooked, but unfortunately even the idea behind the game seems unfinished.

It's too bad, because the idea seemed interesting. But who knows, maybe they release a fix the game, and my 2,54€ investment in the idea pays off. And even if not, I will survive. I pay more for a bag of (admittedly fancy and expensive) potato chips.

Clicking on the buttons doesn't select items, you have to either use the mousewheel, arrow keys, or press 1.

Let us know if you still have any issues.

Why can't I select items with mouse?

Why do I need to use arrow keys for that if I got much better and faster mouse?

This is the exact reason I just contacted Sandswept to request/demand a refund or compensation. The controls are so terrible the game is essentially unplayable.

While it didn't cost me too much, it's more the principle of the thing. If I pay, I expect a product worth the money. This is more of a slap in the face.

They will probably say no, but that speaks volumes about their integrity and customer service.
