TF2 inventory

Not sure if this has been discussed before, but my TF2 inventory on steam community hasn't been updated since at least a week, and is now really different from my in-game inventory.

This is particularly annoying as it prevents from trading without having to go in game.

Here's a capture of my inventory as it is right now, as you can see it's still displaying some items that have disappeared at the end of the winter event.

After a bit of googling it seems I'm not the only having this problem btw.

Just checked and mine looks fine.. item drops from yesterday are listed like they should be. About a week ago there was a bug on steam with some very strange and different effects.. didn´t hear of anything messing up the inventory, but who knows? For me the solution was to kill the steam-process via Ctrl+Alt+Del once and with the next start of the client, all problems where gone.. just give it a try.

If this doesn´t work, have you tried to trade something within the steam-client? If not, try to just give something to a friend and then let him give it back to you, maybe the inventory will be triggered to get the new data during this process.

Thats all I can think of right now, I hope you will get an official answer as soon as possible.

Cheers

Eh Steam client wasn't the problem since it was the same using a normal browser. On the other hand...

This was a brilliant idea. Traded something with a friend and my backpack is now up to date. Now to hope it keeps updating and doesn't stay frozen to this current state.

Anyway have some rep.

Eh, dropped something earlier on, and it's not appearing so I guess it's still bugged, but at least I know how to update it from time to time. Would love to hear an explanation about why this is happening though.

Sorry to hear that.. but at least you have a workaround until it gets fixed for now.

Hey Mike, I had a problem with my inventory today too. I was trading scrap, but only 1 was showing in my inventory outside of the game, and I had to go in-game to trade. I had 32 scraps total.

In order to fix the TF2 inventory or inventory itself, at least temporary, just open a trade with any of your friends. Don't need to drag and drop something. Just accept an invitation to trade and immediately close the session. Your inventory will be automatically updated. If you make another trade, if you want to see the new items in your inventory, the same ... you must open a second trade session (easy, with the same trader) and just close it.

We found a bug that was preventing inventory pages from being refreshed after launching or closing a game like they should've been. This is fixed and your inventories should be updated properly now.

Having issues in the past two days in both TF2 and steam item inventories.

I traded away a copy of a game 2 days ago, and today it still shows up time to time in a trade window or in my inventory in my profile page.

Tf2 inventories can be worked around by launching the game, but still nonetheless quite annoying.
