the Cartel is the worst game ever! Check the reviews to make sure.

Brothers in Blood is way better.

What luck: it's on sale today at a 66% discount.

I haven't tried it, but I'd recommend the first two games - Bound in Blood in particular - first.

No clue, but it is cheaper on Amazon, as was pointed out in the other thread.

1st Person only, not open world, just the usual exploring to find secrets. Ignore the "Call of Juarez" part of the title and play it as an FPS and you'll like it a lot better. Co-op is the best way to enjoy it.

Its a FPS, no third person. This game you play missions, and is more setup around co op. As for the size of the missions, there is alot of high stakes stuff going on.

As for if the game is good or not, reviews are always blown out of proportion. My honest opinion, its a really fun game, especially if you have friends to play with. If you have a standard that everyone has now and days that if it isn't like cod, it sucks, you will not like this game. BUT, if you like how the shooting style is in Dead Island, and like how the missions are setup in Payday the Heist, then you will have fun. (the cartel is made by techland, same company who made dead island)

It seems like the most vocal defenders of The Cartel also seem to be Dead Island fans. I suppose if someone were to enjoy Dead Island they might also feel the same way about The Cartel, seeing as how both games are designed by the same company. TechLand makes consistently crappy games. Even the original Call of Juarez games are sub-par despite all the praise they get.

No offense meant to anyone personally, I just find it curious that the only people that bother to give the Cartel a positive review tend to be the same people that thought DI was a flawless masterpiece.

Dead Island doesnt even compare to how bad Cartel is. It doesn't make sense how the first game is really good and the 2nd one is amazing and a vast improvement. The cartel is such a joke and not even the same game as the other installments. I feel bad for anyone that bought this game or people who say oh w.e its on sale and I have money to throw away. You are better off paying someone to drop a heavy object on your hand than pay anything for this game.
