New to GA-player name help please

Hello, I just downloaded GA and I'm having trouble making a player name. I have tried different names, putting numbers and stuff on the end, and even resorted to mashing random keys on my keyboard, but it keeps telling me 'That name is unavailable.' Am I doing something wrong? At first I thought it was just me but once I started sweeping my hand of the keyboard multiple times and still getting the message, I started the think otherwise. Thanks.

Edit: Never mind, finally got it.
