Valve- let the community vote on next stranges to be released!

Who here remembers the Scout update? Do you remember how Valve decided which weapons would be given by achievement in which order? THEY LET US VOTE ON IT!

Now we have threads all the time on spuf requesting what weapons should be released in strange quality, but they pop up for a while then disappear. Valve should have a page on the website which users can visit and sign in to, then place votes on four weapons to be in the next crate. (People can vote for re-releases of weapons, too, but only two of the four votes can be for already released stranges.) When the crate is released, with the top four voted weapons inside, the votes are all reset and everyone can vote again on the next crate.

tldr: valve should add a page to the website where users vote for the next strange weapons

You do realize that vote led to the least useful weapon being released last, right?

I do approve, though.

is there anything wrong with that? We don't need suspenseful buildup to a strange release, we want to start counting our kills

I am worried we may be taking a risk here. With a crate of all-wanted weapons, the values of crates and weapons from them would go up. It would also lead to there being less popular items to put in later crates, unless Valve starts cycling the items, which I sincerely hope they do. Strange 'nades for two keys? NOPE.

yes, they could cylce weapons (remember ppl could vote for recycled weps)

and the value of crates going up? I don't get the problem. I suppose the recent slow in crate drops should end as well, so people have a better chance of getting the new crate, but do you really think that we should keep the value down by having someone save up for a key, open a crate, and get a strange that NO ONE WANTS?

In short - This could be another crate #30.

Gunslinger - Widely used, game-changing item.
Ullapool Caber - Widely used joke weapon.
Holy Mackeral - Reskin, widely used.
Kritzkreig - Widely regarded as the only viable alternative Medigun (although not by me).
Machina - Almost a straight upgrade to the stock. Almost.

Now there's no saying that this new crate wouldn't have the low drop rate - But there's no saying it wouldn't, either.

And then they would make the crate have unusual's drop rate. And you could only open it with a community voted key.

This. Valve screwed us on the crate 30.

Ullapool Caber isn't a joke, it's the best non-shield melee weapon.
