$15? Why so expensive?

Considering you can get Sanctum, a fully 3D tower defense for $10(4 pack for $30) or similar tower defense to this one, Sol Survivor for $10 (4 pack for $30) or Defense Grid, comparable but with no multiplayer for $10.

I think the pricing on this title should've been researched more and should be brought in line with other titles in the genre. It's going to be very hard to justify $15 for this game, let alone convincing 3 friends to also drop $15. If you did the $10 game + $30 4-pack like all the other games in this niche genre I would have more luck.

Perhaps...but Im pretty sure Sanctum and Sol Survivor were both more then $10 at release. Could be wrong though.

The game is pretty fun. Has a bit higher production values over all then most the other TD games as well. Game has a bit more of a competitive multiplayer element to it as well then most those other games.

The point that can be made is this is just released, those games are old.

If they arent sure, get them to try the demo....

True you are right that it is a new release, Sanctum was also $15 at release (although being a fully 3D game more development would've gone into it).

Defense Grid & Sol Survivor have always been $10.

I guess i'll give it some time for the bugs to be fixed & for price to drop before getting it. Hopefuly they will talk to Valve about the addition of a 4-pack for their game, it looks pretty cool.

You keep mentioning how Sanctum is fully 3D... You are aware that Defenders of Ardania is also fully 3D right?

Maybe it's because they seem to believe they created the subgenre of tower offence? Looks like they should've researched that as well...

The price doesn't really matter as long as the game is good enough to be worth it. Is it worth it? I have no idea, haven't played it yet. I'm tired of Paradox' games that are utterly broken at release and might or might not get patched 3 paid add-ons and 50 patches later. Maybe this is different, but I'm waiting on solid feedback before I make a purchase. There don't seem to be any professional reviews yet at least.

(Btw: Sanctum was not worth 15$ by a long shot. It might have been 3D and might have decent production values, but the gameplay is crap. )

The day $15 is expensive in the gaming world is the day gaming dies.

It's amusing to see comments at Apple's app store, where someone might say they feel ripped off for paying 99 cents for a game, or that a game priced at $3.99 is way too expensive.

Sadly though, it looks like mobile apps are giving people a whole new mindset of what a game should cost. Meanwhile, it's totally acceptable to pay $9.99 (or more) for an e-book ... in fact, some people happily argue that the added convenience of "getting it now" makes it okay for a digital book to be priced at nearly the same price as a hardcover.

There's something wrong with this picture.
