Cool Ys The Oath of Felghana unofficial tech support thread

I'm not sure if people will use this, but my post of a review turned into this anyways. So here it is the unofficial tech thread.

Is there any way to make it so the sprites don't stretch when in widescreen?

Have you set the game to play in the proper resolution in the config menu?

But is there actual widescreen support in the first place?

I don't really know the easiest way to find out would be to set the config to wide screen and see if the graphics are all squishy.

Since this is the tech support thread I'll repost this here.

I'm having the exact same graphical error as the user from this post:

Why is my Game always crashing when it reaches the main menu? Xseed logo will show up and 2 notes sound in the main menu and boom Crash.

I tried every setting, dx9 and dx8 both crashes. turned of all graphics options to their lowest setting and even turned of sound.

Anyone have the same problem?

The problem I'm having is that the opening cinematic is corrupt. The audio is fine but the visuals are a soupy mess.

I'm having the same issue with the opening cinematic (audio is fine). Haven't come across any other cinematics yet, so I don't know if it's just messed up during the opening or if it happens during all cinematics (if there are more). Might play around with different settings later, maybe that'll fix it.

Hey! The video has the same issues in Windows Media Player, but runs fine in VLC player. Both run without any sound, though.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that might be because if you put your game in "widescreen ratio", the game forces the video to play in widescreen, causing problems.
