Talking Controller enabled game selection interface

Enable the use of a controller like the XBox controller for use inside the standard steam client.

Allows selecting games using only the controller and navigating the library.

Ultimately, I'm thinking move towards an interface similar to a media center has... i.e Windows Media Center. But for games.

I use my TV for games from my PC and would prefer if I didn't have to keep going back to the keyboard when I want to switch games or start one up.

They are working on just what you're describing. It's tentatively called "big picture mode." I don't know when it will be released.
