Where are the save files located?

I'm going to reformat my windows drive, and would like to make sure my BoI saves don't get trashed. Where are they all located?

Here's what you're looking for. The so.sol is the important file to backup but I always backup serial.txt as well to be sure, it has worked well for me.

I think the serial.txt file is all you need. When I uninstalled and reinstalled Flash (an update failed) it deleted the so.sol file, but everything was still there next time I launched Isaac. Couldn't hurt to save them both as a matched pair though.

Put this in your Windows search bar:
%appdata%\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\

It should have the so.sol file in a subfolder. Mine doesn't as I type this, so maybe it deletes when I delete my browsing history (haven't played BoI in a week). But anyhow there is what ya asked for.

^ Thanks. So, for sure I don't need the so.sol file? Because I checked where you told me to look and I don't see it or anything that looks like it anywhere. With just the serial.txt file I will save all my progress/achievements?

Where did you find it? I don't have so.sol on the shared objects folder.

God... I wish I had known this before I reformatted just yesterday... I don't even know if I can bring myself to play BoI anymore, I was so far along (Although at only 73% achievement completion, I'm sure many of you are further ^_~)

Anywho, just thought I'd come here to complain!

isaac doesnt save to the steam cloud apart from achiefments.

the save is the "serial" text document in the binding of isaac folder in the steam folder.

^ So all I need is the 1KB serial.txt file in my Steam BoI folder? It feels scary to just let all my progress rest on this tiny text file lol. Where's this fabled so.sol file QqChopper is speaking of? I can't find that anywhere!
