Armageddon reboots my PC at launch

Pretty much as the title says. I get to the screen where it wants me to choose DX9 or DX10/11, I choose either one, black screen then the PC reboots.

Bought the game from Amazon for 5 bucks yesterday. First I used Steam to activate then install the game. No workie. Pffffttttt. Verified game files. Turned off Avast! Nothing else running, Win 7 up to date. Then I uninstalled thru Steam and downloaded direct from Amazon, then reinstalled thru Steam, updated and verified again.

Same problem. Choose which DirectX I want a bam, black screen and reboot. least I only lost $5.

PC specs:
GA-990XA-UD3 socket AM3+ board
FX4100 Bulldozer quad @ 3.6
8Gb G Skill 1866 DDR3 RAM
EVGA GTX560Ti 295.73 drivers
Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit
700 watt Cooler Master Extreme PSU

I am at a total loss. Never had a game do this. All my other games run fine. Win 7 is up to date, I checked that after reading a few other posts. Any help greatly appreciated.

Not even Maddoggie? No one? Wow, I guess this game did turn to crap. I liked Gurilla, just wanted to try this one. Oh well. Thanks anyways, y'all.

It's an FX/ Bulldozer issue. I put my Phenom II 970 back in and the game runs flawless. I tried an FX4100, then an FX8150. Game rebooted the PC. Phenom II runs fantastic! Now I can have some fun!

Good to hear that this works out. Problem of CTD also comes with other CPU or GPU's.
I've got and AMD Athlon X4 and an ATI HD 6450 (no Nvidia stuff on game pc) and have till this day not seeing any ingame screens.

Another day, another kick.

Still no solution found. Have another laptop but that isnt powerfull enough for this game.
