Ugly Baby Post PAX East

This is a note to the 3 people who still read the Ugly Baby forums: we're still working towards a post-PAX-East build for y'all. We're having to rework some of what we did for the 3DGS version of the game, and here's a quick bit on what I was working on yesterday, and will be working on today:

I don't have a due date for a Steam push, but if anyone has Python installed on their system, I could shove out a moddable version of the game as an executable?

I was just wondering about when this game would be getting more updates. Decided to check today and was surprised that you had posted an update. Looking forward for the steam update :-D

I find your opinion to be very disposable.

Wait, I thought you guys scrapped the Gamestudio version completely... Does this mean you guys are still considering not using Unity at all?

Why are you even here? Seriously, it looks like you don't even check upon news on the game you bought. If you don't care, then again, why post on the forums? If you actually BOTHERED to follow up on what the devs have been doing, you'd notice they are REBUILDING the game on a new engine, and all you bastards do is complain.

Seriously, the average SPUF customer needs to stop thinking they're supreme beings or something.

Well we can all have our opinions, whether the game engine was changed or not, maybe the pre release should never have been sold on Steam, game was far from even Alpha status.

rebuilding what? a tech demo of a game that I purchased fully expecting a game EVENTUALLY. This is about as bad as Valve time, except valve seems to actually release a game in a playable state at some point or another. The beta version i downloaded has been updated a whopping 4 times in a year and literally never ran on my PC to begin with, so sorry if I seem a bit bitter. Most of us expect results within a reasonable time period. Especially on a game this small.

Barring any horrible disasters, we are go for Unity! It's klunky, and it only runs in windowed mode for now, has a file browser, plays music, and actually works (if basically).

I may be a fourth

I'm still intrigued to see a rez-like game that is reactive to all music. If you could accomplish that...

There is more then 3 people here, I count at least 5, myself included, that are still interested in your game. Personally I look for new posts here every time I check the steam forums.

We're listening, even if it's all quietly from the shadows of the room.

It's exceptionally frustrating when a developer who has promised you a game then spends time delivering several other games before finally getting back to coming through on what was paid for.

You mean the Steam store page that says "Dejobaan will continue to polish the game -- with your feedback -- 'till it’s as smooth and silky as an ugly baby's bottom for launch in 2011"? Or are we just supposed to magically know to go to the developers site and hunt around for information on why its delayed?

Why can't Dejobaan update the Steam store page?

It's absolutely dumbfounding how other consumers are actually apologists for this behaviour, as if we should be grateful that we spent money for the privilege of funding them.
