Sniper Elite difficulty too easy?
Anyone else find the game way to easy on Sniper Elite mode? The health regeneration is just insane, you can play like gears of war crouching behind a waist high block in the middle of the street or even just standing in the open without dying as long as you go back to cover for a couple of seconds. At the moment I'm just playing where if I get shot twice in a checkpoint I restart it but would be nice if they made the game harder.

It's almost pathetic that something claiming to be a "tactical" game has so many checkpoints, ammo caches, and yes... regenerating health. Though keep in mind the demo level takes place early in the game.
Still fun though. I'm counting on other levels to have more at stake than just your health. Short windows of opportunity, extremely difficult shots, and thrilling escapes for example. Here's to hoping, my friend. |

i finished the demo on my first run through on elite difficulty - hardly a challenge.
edit - to elaborate on this..its regenerative health. goldeneye had me sideways tryin to complete on the double o difficulty. all you had was your startin health...that was the challenge (fair enough and the odd body armour). the first sniper elite had limited saves. not checkpoints. just incorporate these things and want is a dull game would become a good game. the game has too many action elements for my liking it feels like a good sniping game at its core but someone on the dev staff wanted it to be like cod or something else. It all just feels to rushed like there is no planning or timing with your shots

the demo was a bit easy, given the predictability of enemy spawn. but I expect the game to get a fair bit more challenging later on, as you must take out vehicles by aiming at weak spots and master different types of rifles that have different muzzle velocities therefor bullet drop and varying amounts of recoil and their own quirks. this is probably more the case in sniper elite mode where empty lung doesnt show where the bullet is going to go so there will be a lot of trial and error involved.
I wonder how good coop is going to be? I dont think SP will be very replayable with the predictability of enemy spawn and linearity of maps/events. Last edited by gewrf: 04-23-2012 at 03:32 AM. |

The demo level is from early in the game, so naturally won't be as hard as later levels. As mentioned by one of the lead producers in a meeting just now, some of the later levels are "****ing hard".

i realy hope so...firts SE in Sniper Elite dificulty was realy hard...having a red dot aim assist makes the game to much easier...you can also set a tripwire and pass by it whit out detonating...how come? In first SE you couldnt do this in any way...

Hard enough for me, but Im not using health packs. Would love for that to be an option by the way. If you dont sit in front of the same windows after 2 shots and COD it, you really dont need health packs. Would be nice if you could limit ammo to only what you can pick off dead soldiers as well. Im not a big fan of health packs and ammo packs scattered around a level.

For me it wont be about survivability. But about racking up the amazing kills with the hardest settings

Agreed, it wasnt difficult at all on the highest setting. But im sure the finished game will be much more difficult. Either way, im very excited.
