Devs, look here please: Torchlight II Pre-Order Russia

I just traded this Torchlight II with someone and this is the title that shows up in the inventory "Torchlight II Pre-Order Russia", does this mean I won't be able to play it once it releases? I'm asking since the exact same thing happened when a friend of mine traded for Witcher 2, he activated it just fine but then he wasn't able to play it. I'd really love a reply from the developers on this since replies from other users will just be mere speculation.

The Russian version is the same as the other versions, it just cost a little more due to some kind of restrictions or taxes or something.

Yeah, its cheaper. Anyway, I've got my copy directly through the store. Its working for me. Try that support link. Maybe Steam support. You will get answer.

Hi, everyone. The Torchlight II build in Russia is region locked for Steam's Russian store. If you try to launch the Torchlight II build outside of Russia, you will receive an error message (https://support.steampowered.com/kb_...1266-QFZC-2141). I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks for the reply! I really didn't want to be stuck with a game in my library. I'm guessing there's no way to exchange this for a regular game is there?

Please, you should allow buying possiblity with no lock version via steam store (steam allow to do this). It's easy.
One title - 2 prices - with region lock and not.

It isn't their choice. It has to do with a countries laws.

If someone buy the game for you from a cheaper country, the sends you the gift voucher, the country you are in may loose the taxes it would have collected for the purchase.

The developer has no say in the matter.
