seriously why does 1 tiny upgrade ruin the demos?

WARNING! Server returned protocol version 47, not 48

So I can only watch some demos, only watchable with playdemo. That means I can't speed them up so I have to sit through the whole thing.

I can't download an older copy of cs to watch them because that is illegal.

why can't they make a demo player or fix these problems with CS and CSS...

complexity demo player is your best bet for watching older demos of 1.6
