South Park: The Game listed as Steamworks

No surprise here, since the game is published by THQ, but... what the hell about the price? THQ/Obsidian never sold games above 49,99 if I remember right.

Edit: it seems only GMG is selling for that price. It's 49,99 as usual on THQ website:

FallOut New Vegas was 60 at launch, and that was made by Obsidian.

You sure? I bought New Vegas around 3 months after release and it was 49,99.

But in any case, it was published by Bethesda, they already sell their published games for 59,99 since 2011 (Skyrim, RAGE, Dishonored pre-order). THQ was still selling their games for 49,99, like Darksiders II pre-order.

No it was the previous, but I think I know what happened. Since I bought few months after the release the price probably dropped by then, same thing happened with RAGE.

In any case, New Vegas was made by Obsidian but published by Bethesda, they already sell their games for 59,99 for some time. It's not the case with THQ. Strange.

No, that's wrong. I bought Fallout: New Vegas (non-ultimate edition) when it was full price a couple weeks after launch in 2010 and it says in my transaction history that I payed $49.99.

They may have mixed up the console version being $59.99 and associated it with the PC version being that price as well.

I'm just saying the MSRP of the game was $59.99. If they had a sale after launch that's different but the MSRP was $59.99

Though it could be the PC version was cheaper, but I can't seem to find any infromation correlating that.

http://blogs.capecodonline.com/cape-...out-new-vegas/

Not sure if 'cape cod gaming' is the best source for news but it does correlate that Fallout NV was 49.99 as you said. My mistake!

We'll see if the 59.99 price tag 'sticks'. Of course the problems that THQ is having may necessitate the need to sell these games at a higher price. Since nothing has really been announced at this point, the pricing on that could change. WIth the layoffs at Obsidian I don't expect the game to ship until late 2012 if we're lucky.

The old South Park game had better graphics and you were running around throwing snowballs at invading turkeys in glorious 3D. http://img.gamefaqs.net/screens/8/9/f/gfs_28024_2_6.jpg

Graphics aren't what they're aiming for. They want to make it look just like the TV show, which is awesome.

Surely you can't be serious? Being 3D doesn't automatically make a game have better graphics than a 2D game

Oh your quote was in euros. Dunno what the pricing of those games are then as my quotes were for USD. Should have known from the comma instead of decimal notation

In case you're wondering GMG pricing for the game is 59.94. So yeah... its pretty expensive depending on whether you think a SouthPark RPG game is a 'top tier AAA' title or not which seem to fluctuate between 59.99 and 49.99 in terms of pricing.

This show was fun but am I the only one who think this game is pretty overpriced?
I mean, it's 50€ (euros) for a Single-Player only (according to the GMG page) RPG, 2D game (and I totally hate RPG's, but that's a matter of taste..).

Doesn't seem worth it for me. I'll pass.

/sigh when did SP become a bad thing?

The greatest games EVER made(Well over the top ten, imo) were all SP. And 2d RPG? Some of the greatest rpgs ever made were 2d.
