not precached: models/combine soldier.mdl

Trying to play some HL2DM at a lan party and EVERYONE is getting this message. Anybody got any ideas? My mate's already done everything short of reinstalling (which he's still in process of XD)

Has EVERYONE tried Verifying integrity of game cache? By the way, are you hosting a listen server or a dedicated server?

I also have this error:
- Verifying integrity of game cache does not fix it
- Deleting the half-life 2 deathmatch folder in steamapps does not fix it
- Uninstalling and reinstalling HL2DM and related content (HL2/EP1) does not fix it
*For me, this error only occurs when starting a server irrelevant of if it's an official or user-made map
*Error doesn't happen when I use a Combine player model but as soon as I switch to a human in game [Engine Error]
The only thing left to try is deleting steam and redownloading and reinstalling everything but I have too much other content to try this. I think this is an error caused by a recent update that broke something.
