DayZ - simple installers (1.7.2.5)

i made simple installers, yet they w/o any warranty

quick job in NSIS (nullsoft installer) and nowhere perfect state

online (atm. 1.7.2.5)
(small file, all files downloaded from dayz site, just installs and drop 2 shortcut on your desktop, one for OA 1.62 engine and one for OA 1.62 beta engine)

WARNING:
1. You should RUN STEAM via "run as administator"
2. and start ARMA 2 once , then exit
3. then start ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead via the desktop shortcuts from installers

Well, after the reinstall I ran the days install tool v1.3 and it runs flawlessly now.

Thanks, I was having trouble trying to run Dayz with the beta patch. This made it easy.

I wish I would have seen this last night, I must have spent an hour trying to get it to launch properly with the SixUpdater. It kept trying to force the CBA & JayzLib mod, so when I would join a DayZ server I would get kicked for having non-approved mods running. I may still give this a shot though because I have no idea if it will still be working for me tonight.

I'm not really sure why, but using the shortcut causes the game to always launch in windowed mode with a lowered resolution.

that's intended, it's because the .cmd i use have -window parameter

just push alt+enter on the menu screen to maximize to full screen

i decided to use windowed mode as default to ensure less issues (some people have issue with fullscren due to drivers etc w/o setting first some resolution etc)

no it mean one is full 100+MB installer and another is just 150KB binary which downloads the data from DayZ file mirror site

it's universal works with any distribution

also updated offline to 1.5.8.1,
the online installer now downloads 1.5.8.1 data

Thank you for this. Just one thing, is it possible for you to make this launch through Steam, as if you were just playing regular Arma 2? I'm weird and like to track my time played :P
