TL2 Release Date...?

The coming soon list seems to be in chronological order, sooo...

does that mean TL2 will be up between Aug 24 and Mar 5 2013?

That's only the tentative release date steam gives. There is no official one. I have seen the same thing in upcoming releases and games can either go back further or jump to the front of the list once the release date is publicly known.

It is a good thing to get an idea of when it's coming out but don't take it as fact.

Probably as soon as the summer sale is over as they apparently had no REAL problems with their earlier beta o.w. they'd be holding another beta by now, unless they lied(not impossible), and it was still actuially alpha and they're actually adding more stuff to it(I'd go for this, but IF it's the summer sale: ♥♥♥♥ them! is all I have to say, and ye I've pre-ordered.)

BS: Torchlight 2 has already missed it's proclaimed rlease dates several times by now. It's turning into a random moving target at this point, and I'd call it vaporware had they not had the open "beta" a few months ago.

Personally, it's either the above summer sale avoidance, or the thing's being subjected to some ridiculous feature creep(given the not to bad beta p;ay a few months back apparently...).

Or the fact that you can already pre-order it despite not having a distinct release date. Hopefully something specific becomes known soon. Reminds me of waiting for Dungeon Defender to come out way back when.

they work to make this game as best as possible-kudos to them I say. and if it takes one or two more months-so be it. It'll only mean a better game at the release.

Or... there's never been an actual release date, only estimates that were put on news sites as if they were actual release dates, which just jaratees people off each and every time they aren't true. They also leave people with the impression that the release date keeps being missed... sound familiar?

Couldn't agree more. I did the pre-order around 3 months ago knowing that there was no specific release date. I didn't even consider it a gamble. For the price invested and what we should get for an end product, I don't care how long it takes them. Just do it right and give us a great game.

i thinks its a good thing its delayed for 2 big reasons 1 being it will be a better game and 2 being its no longer anywhere near diablo 3 so it doesn't really matter, a september release could be good cause its a little after guild wars, i know a lot of people didnt want them to come out at the same time

I think that its a bug, in my case says "september 2012", and runic has already confirmed that they are still planing to release the game on summer.

it almost seems as they had the game almost finished but for whatever reason they decided to "rewrite" most of the game. it is funny how they stated that they were aiming for a few weeks after diablo..

it appears like they have like 2-4 people actively working on the game.. are they too cheap to hire more staff? the game was scheduled for release last year, more than a year later they're still unsure when it will be released.
