No. Activision still has an illegal monopolistic setup with the worst GSP on planet earth. I'm hoping that the idiotic CEO's learned their lesson and wont choose to commit any more crimes in the future by screwing the entire PC community and giving one horrible GSP rights to the server files.

Wow someone really doesn't like Gameservers, what's wrong with gameservers? They seem like a fine company to me, sure there were some servers that didn't run as good as they should but for the most part it worked fine imo.

Personally I prefer this system where the server files are not public, but I wouldn't mind if more game server providers would have the files so there is some healthy competition between the various companies.

Oh and I'm pretty sure black ops 2 will only have rented servers like black ops 1, the question is if they will still only use gameservers or if they will give it to more companies.

Yeah i would have to agree, although at first there was some issues with the blops servers (which i dont think GS could do much about) there service has been quite good, we now have our TS3 server with them and probly use them for our blops2 server if we get one.
Personaly i dont see why they cant release the server files to the public (unranked ofcourse) or even allow other GSP's the unranked servers.

Anyone who thinks GameServers is good wasn't around for Black Ops release when they set the server rates to 5000 (dialup setting, instead of 25000, which it's supposed to be at) because their crappy network couldn't handle the servers. Caused horrible lag for over a week...
