When I click "Play Game" for Zeno Clash from Steam, I get this message. Can't play!
Steam- Error "Game is currently unavailable, please try again at another time." +Vista Home Premium. service pack 2 +AMD 64X2 5000+ 2.60GHz +32- bits +GeForce 8500GT video accel +I disabled (UAC). +Updated video, DX, C++, +Forced Steam to update and reload. +Verifyed GCF Cache files. +Added Zeno Clash to Data Execution Prevention list. +Unchecked read only file checkbox under Steam/ Properties. Tried clicking secondary installed .exe for game. I don't think this is Steam's fault, but I could be wrong. Is this an open GL prob or something? What else can I try? Hi, I’m very sorry to hear you are having trouble when trying to run Zeno Clash. It sounds like you are having the same issue that other McAfee users have reported. Could you try this? -Go to the McAfee Security Center -Then click on Rea-Time Scanning/Real Time Scanning Settings -Scroll down through Scan Settings till you get to the Extended Protection section -There unclick the "scan for viruses by identifying threat patterns" box -Force Steam to verify integrity of game cache Please let me know if this works for you… David C *Thank you David C, cause that worked!!! I hope this help someone out there. Peace. Punch, Kick, Ahhhhh!!;> |

I followed all the steps on this page:
https://support.steampowered.com/kb_...4595-WEXN-6831 Refreshing steam did not help. deleting the blog file didn't help. Restarting steam never helps. Changing the Read only setting may have helped in with the later solution, but didn't help as a stand-alone solution. Dead Island, BulletStorm, Trapped Dead, and Limbo all would not play. and still I had issues. I did EVERY solution I could find on the Internet, and FINALLY got the stuff to work. LIMBO is now fixed. After Right Clicking on the game title under the Games list, then go to Properties, then to the 'Local Files' tab, and choose to 'Verify the integrity of game cache'. After doing this, it found "1 files failed to validate and will be reacquired", and downloaded the file again from Steam. I did this process again on LIMBO, and it said all the files are good, but on Dead Island, it still gives me the same error about 1 file being broken. Dead Island, BulletStorm, Trapped Dead, and Limbo, all would STILL not play. I then found something on line in a forum about NOD32 causing problems. NOD32 is my Security Software. After turning off NOD32, LIMBO played FINE. Dead Island still got the same error "This Game is Not available at this time". With NOD32 turned off, I redid the fix above under Properties, and I guess it now downloaded whatever file it needed, properly, this time. With NOD32 turned off, and can now play Dead Island. Dead Island is now Fixed. BulletStorm is now Fixed. Trapped Dead is now Fixed. None of these games will play with NOD32 turned ON. Even after the files are downloaded correctly. -b |

go to task manager, look for steamservice.exe, in win7 it has something like (winslave_buildbot) in description. this launches everytime you try to start a game. and does not close everytime you close a game. just end the task then relaunch the game. works for me every time.
