Support - screen flicker and CTD

We've had some success at resolving screen flicker and CTD by following these steps:

1. From the main menu select Options
2. Select Advanced
3. In the General tab change Configuration to Best Performance
4. Step-by-step features can be turned back on to see where the problem lies

Note: Use Shaders found in the Sea tab is the likely cause.

Thanks to all the folks that contacted Meridian4 support, in particular Brad, that helped us troubleshoot.

I deactivate the Shaders, the game runs fine now

What about Allies ? Will Meridian4 publish the addon also?

Pacific Storm Allies went live yesterday.

EDIT: If you can't get to the main menu to change the options above then email support@meridian4.com and we'll send a file (or 2 if you are experiencing a problem with PSA as well) that should correct the error.

Releasing the file(s) on Steam as an update is not possible since it changes the graphics options in the game from Best Quality (default) to Best Performance. The majority of customers are not having any issues with the default settings.

i also was having the screen flickering problem. the setting changes did not help, but after much reading on the developers site, many people, including my self, were rewarded with a playable game after rolling BACK their nvidia drivers. i rolled back to 94.24. works like a champ now.

Can you activate a version on Steam if I already own the retail copy? It would be cool to use my old disc, to secure a place on Steam since it's starting to break already.
