Excellent. Well done Smash. Was waiting for this.

Those threads were starting to pee me off a bit.

The "H" in "HALF-LIFE 2: EPISODE 3" is significantly larger than the other letters.

Also, thanks.

Good thread!
Just a summary about what is currently known about the sequels most people ask about:

Half Life 2: Episode Three
Valve are working on it. But they'll focus on Left 4 Dead first which is scheduled for release in November. We'll likely hear something about Ep3 after this, for instance in the form of a trailer. Valve is carefully quiet about even an estimate of a release date, but fans predict mid or end 2009.
The only thing released so far are three pieces of concept art: here, here and here.
Some more info on Wikipedia.

Portal 2
An interview with Kim Swift on February 21, 2008 revealed that a full sequel, Portal 2, will be coming. Even less than Ep3 is known about its development state, and a release date is not announced.
Some fans suggest it could be bundled with Ep3 in another Orange Box fashion but this is pure speculation.
Some more info on Wikipedia.

Half Life 3
No word about this at all, so speculating release dates is silly.
Worry about it after Ep3 is released

It's concept art! I think the probability of facing an Advisor with a crowbar is extremely slim at best.

Just as extremely slim as meeting atleast 1000 enemies with nothing but your hands.

Thumbs up

At first long before I ever tried any steam games (especially Half-Life) I thought it (by the sound of its name) was some lame and uninteresting game, but during the process of defragmenting our PCs and the steam games.......... I had a chance to actually try many games out

My opinion of this series is totally reversed and I can't wait to see the next chapter in the Half-Life story. I'm currently playing HL-EP2 right now.

considering that all the EP3 threads coming up, this board might as well be known as Half Life Episode two, Episode three.

HL2 EP3 HAS to come first before anything else. My Portal withdraw issue has been resolved with some CSS, and L4D2, so Portal 2 can wait. But after playing through HL1, Opposing Force, Blue Shift, HL2, Ep1, and EP2, EP3 is the one game I can't wait that much longer for.

Cool first post by bobby f.

I'd be happy if they give us a release date.

[This is my first post.]
