Postmortem: ACE Team's Zeno Clash

Postmortem: ACE Team's Zeno Clash

Most of this is information you would have picked up along the way if you've followed the ACE Team and Zeno Clash universe at all, but there are some interesting insights and still some new information covering the work put in to Zeno Clash and how it became the unique and beautiful game we know and love.

Now, if only I could stare out into the serene beauty of nature while I worked...

Now... don't think that's a jungle outside the window...

The office was at a 3rd floor and what you are seeing there is trees from the street and the building. A plastic toy of Max Steel has been hanging on the branches of one of those trees forever.

Have Father-Mother reach up there and hook you guys up with some Ghat. I mean, he/she sorta owes you for...you know, existing.

That was such a great read, too. How did you guys develop Zeno Clash with such low specs on the development workstations? Don't get me wrong, but those are some seriously underpowered rigs that spit out such a wonderful game. I realize that was probably the "average" config, but then that would mean that not only were you using higher powered machines, but also lower powered ones, as well! I applaud what you guys did with the tools you had. It's really amazing.

Maybe the Xbox community can help fund some new rigs so you can get ZC2 out a few weeks after ZC:UE releases.

Anyway, I can't wait to see what the future has in store for ACE Team. I've got my eye on you guys and couldn't be happier for you all right now. Two words:

GG
