Someone once said that if you beat Halo in under 3 hours you can unlock new guns, and my friend and I actually fell for it. Fun attempt though.

The worst hoax I ever tried was one in which it was rumored that I could play as Zero in the first Mega Man X by killing a certain boss, pausing it before I warp, hold the reset button for 10 seconds, clap and do a dance, etc. man that was stupid.

You have to play though HL2 without attacking anything. Then go though episode 1 without opening your eyes, then through episode 2 without touching anything, including the ground. Then get all the achievements 3 times, including the portal achievements, beat portal twenty times, then say the code word from the Aperture science website. After this you must emidiatley shut down your computer, pull into from the wall and throw it down a thirty meter deep hole.

Then you get the gun. If you are lucky. and born before 300 BC.
