XP doesn't support over 3 gigs of RAM.

its way worse than windows 7 and vista. windows 7 expands on XP so infintly, i cannot use XP except for in extremely rare circumstances (my win7 installation is 64 bit, XP is 32, so if a 16 bit app comes along, like ppjoy, i just boot up XP)

So, what did you use before Vista, anyway?

That's like saying Windows 3 is way worse than Win95. It's the nature of the beast... New versions expand and (theoretically) improve upon the previous version(s).

Xp does support over 3 GB if you use the 64 bit version. Fair enough, most wont want 64bit or even need it, but then again you dont need over 3 gig to run Valves catalog of games, nor do you need over 3GB to run almost any other games.

Unless you want to run crysis in very high at 60fps ZERO stutter.

A piece of trash, considering it runs quicker and more reliably than vista, I doubt very much its trash.

You just stick with vista and your cpu hungry super shiney buttons and your uber and unecessary Aero windows.

Holy thread derail batman.

Was I the only who who actually bothered to answer the question in the OP rather question his reasons for buying a PC with 2 9800GTX+s?

EDIT: Yep, I was.

good luck finding drivers for 64-bit windows XP.

And you would need over 3 gigs of RAM if you want to play a game while having the next version of firefox open at the same time.

And some basic advice, if your going to splash out on two 9800's, you may aswell get a GTX275/285 if your motherboard permits it. More power, higher clocks, higher on board mem
No, not really.

and obviously it would be cooler than plastering two beefy cards in your rig which would just produce loads of unecessary heat.
In another thread he stated how godlike his cooling was.
