In the beginning of this thread there was something about some coordinates pointing to the Barents Sea north of Norway. To add to this conspiracy, there is something in the real world called the Federation of Norwegian Industries, with a somewhat familiar logo. Check out the link below.

Don't know if this has been posted before but it's not the only similar logo. While flicking through the tv channels I came across this and it made my mouth drop. Surely it's a blatant rip off. It doesn't even make sense for the program it represents! Maybe Glados is doing a mixer!!

Supermodels spend a lot of time in front of a camera. And the Apature logo is very much like the aperture of a camera. sm

Sorry, I know it's annoying, but I can't stand grammar errors.

Verys strange. Thats why we like it.

I am hopeing that when Episode 3 gets closer to being released that the as site will be used for viral amrketing just like it was for POrtal. The Borialis is an Aperture Science ship after all. sm

Ha ha, I was just being mean. I guess my dry sense of humour doesn't translate too well. I had thought on the day in question that I'd come across a viral tv ad for Portal - but alas no, bloomin' models. Getting quite tetchy now.

Ok I know this isn't the right place to ask and I'm sure there's a thread somewhere else BUT is there a release date for HL Episode 3?

Just wondering whether 'Portal 2' will be part of E3 OR separate (and released before/after E3). So many questions..............

Anyone e-mail Gabe Newell when he was asking whether people wanted a sequel to Portal or CounterStrike? I e-mailed and got a reply (Thanks).

No info an a release for Ep 3. All that they will say is that they are working on it. A recent interview had one of the pwoers that be at VALVe saying that the game he wanted to do the most would be POrtal 2. To me this is an indication that there is no any current work being done on it. (Staff might have been drawn off by L4D2). sm

I believe this is the case, the team has been busy with L4D2. The first version was a big hit ($$$$) for them, so they are riding that wave to keep the cash flowing.

I love Portal, it is my favorite casual game, and I play it nearly every day. The downside, if I seen any, is that it is not a block buster game like L4D or the Half-life series, so when it comes to making money for Valve, it is near the bottom of the list of successful games.

I thank Valve for developing the game, they could have just rolled up the whole concept of Portals into the Half-life 2 series, and limited the portal gun to a segment of Half-life 2.

But then we might not have had GLaDOS...

And some people do play Portal, but not HL2. And some people started playing HL2 because they had played Portal.

have you considered the fact that there are no visible speakers in the chambers?

I think that Glados may be speaking through the gun itself. before the destruction, she may have transferred her data into the gun, making it an intelligent weapon. Although she probably can't move the gun herself, it would be much easier to guide the user on hirs way.

Didn't she speak to us before we got the gun, though?

Yeah, I bought The Orange Box mostly because of Portal, I had a bunch of Spare Cash, and bought it. Best game-deal on my life
