I am not going to argue on the chocolat bar theory, however giving too little information, and then applying disproportionate measures is not doing Valve Corp or the user, any favors.
If I had known this, I wouldnt have risked loosing all my games for one.

My personal opinion is if the system stops players like you playing, it is a good system. If it stops you ever buying the games I play, better still.

This. Anti-Cheat systems exist because players want to play the game and have fun, not have a contest of whose cheat is better. Grow up.

These kind of threads emerge when nobody reads the Steam Subscriber Agreement. Plus, the stickies that are so obvious aren't even bothered to be read by most of them.

Eventhough VAC is a ruthless anticheat, people still dicked around and later paid the ultimate price. How can leniency be considered?

There is no point in arguing. You agreed to all the rules when signing up for an account. Your account is your responsibility.

More info on VAC.

That says it all right there. You just got +Rep.

You gotta love how it's so unfair that a cheater got banned, yet has no idea what they were doing was unfair. The ban isn;t even justice really considering that they cheated on a whole game full of people and ruined their game. That is precisely why VAC is as hard as it is. In time, it'll be born again hard, and when the new version comes out we'll really see some house cleaning going on.

Yep, score another one for VAC. Just outstanding.

How people are supposed to buy games when things like this happen.
I expect from VAC some action, this cannot be happening.
And do not tell me I can still play on unsecure servers, please dont.
I cannot play with my buddies anymore due to this, and I am surely not going to re-buy all the games . . . come on, what kind of joke is this?!
I do not agree to pay for what I did not do.
So please VAC review this, its maybe a mistake on your behalf, which even happens to very good people.
To sum up, be fair, thank you.

Cheers,
A very unsatisfied customer.

Totaly wrong.
For everyone that vac catches there`s prob more still running around not getting caught.
Not saying vac don`t work as it does for the noobs, but for the privet hacks it fails badly.

a big part why I am a loyal buying/gifting steam costumer is because of this nice anti cheat system that makes me smile every day from 2003 now.

Okay guys I think he gets the point. He cheated and he shouldn't have, therefore he deserves his punishment.
