What Happened to the Headcrab Hat?
I know this is kind of unrelated but what happened to the headcrab hat? Did valve stop making it?

No, they used to have actual headcrab hats that you could wear.

They are sold out. Valve have not opted to replenish the stock.

Most of their items go in and out of production.
I'd hope that before Christmas really hits, and in time to ship, they may put some more of their product line back into production... though by now it's almost too late. Yeah they did have a headcrab hat, I've seen people with them as costumes. Don't know whether they're on the site now or not, because it's definitely been a while since they were available. Unless I'm thinking OF the plushy and it's being USED that way, but I'm pretty sure there was a hat. |

A local shop has had one of it in the window since 2004. I asked if i could buy it, but they said they'll never give that away.

Happens all the time, it may arrive back for the Christmas period but I would not be relying on it.

I really do not understand why anyone would want a headcrab hat or a headcrab plushie. Maybe if I got a crowbar with it... (I do have to say that coffee tastes better out of my Aperture Laboratories mug... JK

Yeah, I wanted to buy a headcrab hat and a hunter plushie but afaik the latter only comes in a bundle atm.

Anyone else want a clock with crowbars for minute and hour hands? Lambda symbol in the center of the clock face? I'd totally hang that up above my bed :P
I could only imagine how much profit Valve could make by creating a bunch of items related to Half Life alone, going into Team Fortress and Left 4 Dead territory, even more. Too bad there isn't that wide of a selection of collectibles. |
