is the a way I can appeal to have it sent to me again?

I wouldn't worry too much, since it's a hat in a video game. While I cannot say for sure, I thought I saw at least two people playing on my usual server last night that got Bill's Hat via random drop. I haven't looked up to confirm whether or not it's for-sure available thru random drop or if it's solely from buying L4D2. Also, write VALVe and explain what happened and give them the code for the L4D2 you got gifted... they might be able to help.

Anyhow, that's not your little brother's fault. It's your fault for not watching his sneaky little self on your PC. Sucks that the hat got lost though, so whoop on him a bit so he learns a lesson... then whoop yourself for not watching him more closely.

Splash the bugger with hot oil and terrorize him every second for the rest of his pathetic, puny, baby life

also:

do not let a 10y old play tf2 (he might be part of my team lol)!!

also:
if u can play tf2, it usually means u have unrestricted access to the internets... not something iŽd let my 10y old do without supervision ... just a thought

Would that be before or after he castrates his little brother with a rusty spoon?

When you play for the first time after pre ordering the game it says you found it, it looks like random drop but it isn't, it is pre order only.

Children are disgusting and should not be allowed on other peoples computers. Just wait for the day he joins a TF2 server on your account, and says 'how 2 get hat' and someone says 'delete system32' and he does it.

Children will mess up your IM, your documents, your video games, your reputation, your passwords, your vital system files and your user settings. Woe betide he who stays logged into eBay with a kid around.

Lock your computer.

I deleted my FAN, and that's what they told me. I kind of wish they'd tell me I only got one chance before they sent me the FAN, so I could have at least thought about if it was worth it (incase something more important gets deleted or something)
They probably just implied the limit so that people don't go all "willy-nilly" with the deletion feature, then beg for their items back.

But...
Did you actually have to own it?
"Uhh...I didn't accept my *cough* Fancy Fedora by accident, send me another please."

They probably have a log :P

wait for your brother to get addicted to TF2 and post threads about hats on this forum. Wait for 9000 hours until he gets a hat, then go in and delete it!

this will be the best revenge
