Why not buy a mic or type to your team mates 'My teleporter goes *insert location here*.'

There are common names for just about every general area in the stock maps. Such as 'Attic' in goldrush. I could have left the map name out and some one could have guessed the map (at least by the second try).

Better than this, make teleporters customizable in some way visually, so you can say, "Oh hey, take the teleporter with yellow on it to go to X!" Rather than the current "Hey my teleporter takes you to X", since no one reads the names on teleports.

Kinda like in Quake where you can customize your railgun color, but for teleporter particles.

There are sprays on FPSbanana to make Teleporters more distinguishable. In fact, I downloaded one, that appealed to me quite much.

Actually there is a secret way to name your teleporters very few engies know about. All you need to do is press the team chat key and type in "my tele goes to ..."

On many servers I've played on, you can just hit "y" then type "thetime" (without the quotes, obviously)... it'll show you what time the server says it is.

if it did it automatically then okay, but just having a trustworthy engi is good enough for me
