Is it true that if you preoredered L4D2 at gamestop, that you will be able to unlock bills hat with the early access code you used for the demo? If so, where in TF2 would i enter the code?

Hes not talking about the demo, hes talking about the code you get fro the preorder bat that happened to give you early access as well.

To answer the OP, the preorder code from gamestop WILL give you Bill's hat.

If you entered the code via steam then it will work.
Just play in TF2 for a bit to claim your hat.
I pre-ordered for gamestop and I got mine.

Needless to say this does not apply to the XBox360 version. As they have no hats.

lesson learned. never buy any Steam related games from Gamestop (or any other retailer for that matter). any game that you can buy through steam, DO IT. If a game isn't available through steam, then yes, gamestop is a fine solution (Until it becomes available on steam - then buying it through steam applies again)

My demo code is for the xbox 360, but i play TF2 on pc.... which is quite stupid, that i cant get the hat.

If i bought a pc version from gamestop, would they give me a code or what?

man wth? I pre ordered L4D2 last Saturday and got my early demo access code Monday......for the XBOX version. Needless to say it didn't work since I of course bought the pc version. Is this the same code you use to get the bat, and hat? Or do they send a different code for that?

Flippin gamestop man, had to call them TWICE to get my damn code and they send me the wrong one. Now I'm starting to think I won't be getting the other codes either, unless I spend another 30 minutes on the damn phone with them.
